Buying Gold, Pleasing Customers, Making Profit!

Sometimes I could just kick myself for waiting so long to get into this industry.  I guess it's because of reading in the Bible 5 years ago the eventual demise of it's value and esteem.  But, for now Gold and Precious metals is the place to be.

So, I went out and bought me a jeweler's loupe a couple of days ago and my wife and I ventured out to a few garage sales.  We stopped by a few places in our immediate vicinity to no avail.  Then we drove into Houston's inner loop and stopped in on an estate sale.  It was full of junk that had been picked thru.  Yet, with my keen eagle eye I stumbled across a wheat basket containing 10 rolls of pennies.  So, I asked the host of the sale what he wanted for them.  He looked at me as if I had struck pay dirt and said, "How did you find these and where did you find them."  He almost was amazed that I asked him the price instead of just walking off with them......seeing that there was really no way to manage the crowd of people in the house.  My Grandma always taught, If it ain't yours, don't touch it.  If it's meant for you to prosper, it'll come back around, I thought to myself as I point to the corner where I had located the basket full of rolled pennies.

Anyway, the Estate Sale Host looked opened one of the rolls and thumbed through some of pennies then said, "I'll sell them to you for $5.00 Bucks a roll." to which I said, "Pass".  Even though being new to coins, I didn't think it wise to pay $5.00 bucks each for 50 cents a roll worth of pennies.  Like one of my sales mentors used to say, "Why don't you just go get a gun and rob me?"Orvis Most Secure and Safe Two-Gun Case (Google Affiliate Ad)

I continued looking through some of the drawers in the kitchen and discovered a small piece of broken chain that looked like gold.  I told my wife to ask if they would take 50 cents for the little piece of chain and they said no problem.  Anyway, to make a long story short, I stopped on the way home at one of our store locations and sold that little piece of chain for $32.00....LOL.  That's what I call PROFIT!!
